Abstract

The concept of “Novel”, recently, has become the focus of interest to a large number of scholars and critics due to its various styles, methods, and forms. The importance of its narrative structure includes a rich component of elements, relations and perceptions. Since the personality is an important factor in the construction of narrative discourse, this study attempts to approach the main character in the novel "Riam and Kafaa" of the novelist Hadea Hussein, and how to represent this character on the psychological and ideological various levels. The novel has adopted a life style history full of ideological and psychological contradictions between the sternness of the mind on one side, and the emotion impact on the other side, leading to alienation of personality between the inner and outer worlds.
