Zarkurmanji was published in Rwandz between 1926 and 1932. It was the first Kurdish magazine in the Erbil province and one of the richest Kurdish magazines published in the Kurdish language before the 1991 uprising. Of course, other magazines were published in Kurdistan during this period, but only Hussein Huzni Mukriani opened the door to the issues that were necessary for Kurdistan, including: education in Kurdish, opening schools in Kurdish villages and paying attention to cultural aspects. As well as writing history in Kurdish, raising awareness in society from oppression and subjugation and the struggle for an equal and educated society, etc.
