Abstract

In this study, the reasons presented work not on the voting process and play a role in changing the election results. Some of these are: social background, ideology, religion and economy. Each of these reasons has been compared to the nature of the election and the voting process in the Kurdistan Region, whether the kurdistan regional elections or the iraqi-level elections. In this research, both methods of describing analysis and comparison have been benefited from it.

After several rounds of elections in the Kurdistan Region, passing stages of instability, the effectiveness of foreign affairs, and the decline in the financial situation of people in general and young people in particular, the awareness of voting in the Kurdistan Region has changed dramatically, and opposition and civil society organisations have played an effective role in raising awareness of citizens, monitoring and provoking the political streets in the Kurdistan Region. Although the changes made by the elections are slow and slow, the changes are important and strategic and will have a long-term impact on society, with less impact in the Kurdistan Region, but it has brought about a number of political changes that this research cares about.
