A Geographical Analysis of the Fluctuations in Temperature and rainfall in Soran District between 2002-2021

Abstract

Climate and the changes in its components are considered essential since they affect the water resources, agriculture, environment and many other aspects of human life. This research which is a scientific attempt tries to evaluate and analyses the fluctuations in temperature and rainfall in Soran district between the years (2002-2021), in which the fluctuations of climate are analyzed and its factors are provided. This research aims at identifying the amount and the nature of the changes occuring in the climate of the area, particularly, temperature and rainfall. For this reason, the research is divided into two parts: (geographical characteristics of the studied area and analyzing the fluctuations of the climate components in Soran area.). Finally and after analyzing the data of the studied area, the research concluded that the fluctuation is a main characteristic of the studied area climate؛ the percentage of annual fluctuation in climate in the studied area is (%3, 98) within the taken duration, while the percentage of rainfall fluctuations (%27.6, %26.5, %32.0), for each and every stations in Soran, Sidakan and Khalifan.
