Abstract

It is important to conduct research about the development of cities. Therefore, in the angle of the historical geography it is significant to investigate the development of cities. It is quite obvious there are various reasons behind the grew and development of cities. Throughout the history, as the civilized phenomenon, in the different stages of the history normally cities are increasing and developing. By contrast, sometimes as a result of some other factors, cities are shrinking and decreasing, the Kurdish cities in the medieval centuries are not exempted. It could be said that, often a city may have more than one factor for improvement, or has a unique factor. Here, the research focuses on the flourishing and development of the Kurdish cities, however, here and there these cities were mentioned but since the Islamic process of liberation in the Kurdish regions, these Kurdish cities gradually developed, there are some reasons led to these cities to be improved.
