Abstract

Education is one of the most important drivers of society and a sign and result of the cultural level of society.The development of any society is linked to the development of the education sector. However, the political and economic trends have a clear impact on education.

     The political changes after 1994 and the conflict between the parties had a negative impact on all aspects of life. The education sector was not spared from it. For this, the preparation of a scientific research on the status of education in Erbil Governorate from 1994 to 1998 was necessary. On the basis of analysis and careful study of the sources.

    This research consists of three main chapters: Chapter One: It bears the title The Impact of Political Situation on Education from 1994 to 1998, Which highlights the living situation of students and teachers. The second chapter is devoted to presenting the number of teachers, teachers and students in Erbil Governorate during this period, With the important decisions issued by the General Directorate of Education in Erbil For teachers and students. The third chapter is devoted to curricula and textbooks in all educational stages of the Ministry of Education.
