Academic Stress and Its Relationship With Procrastination Among University Students

This study aimed to explore the relationship between academic stress and procrastination among university students. The sample consisted of (439) university students which selected randomly through an online survey. The method of this study was a correlation. SISCO inventory of academic stress by Barraza and lays procrastination scale were used as tools of the study. After applying Pearson Correlation to find the results, the results indicated no relationship between academic stress and procrastination among university students. But the results showed a positive, statistically significant correlation between procrastination and stress symptoms subscale and a negative correlation with coping with stress. Additionally, all of the academic stress subscales showed statistically significant positive relationships. Furthermore, this study did not show that academic stress predicts procrastination.
