Abstract

This study examines the role of the internet in democracy promotion in the world. Theoretically, the internet has an impact on democracy via social and political mechanisms. This study uses a quantitative analysis technique to answer the following question: is the internet significant in democracy promotion in the world?. Further, a scatter plot and a person's correlation was used to understand the correlation and relationship between variables. Besides, the linear regression analysis has been implemented to examine other independent variables that have effects on the dependent variables. The conclusion shows the increase rate of the internet as well as the rate of democracy.
