Abstract

Today, the important issue with regard to education in the Kurdistan Region is the relationship that this institution can have with social equality. In the years following the fall of the Ba'ath regime, education and higher education are gradually re-modernizing themselves, so the important question is whether this institution is an opportunity for equal opportunities, or an additional opportunity in the hands of the upper classes? The aim of the study is to show the extent of symbolic violence and social inequality in universities, especially in private university in the Kurdistan Region, research is a quantitative research and the method used in this research is analytical method, with comparative method is used to show the differences more obvious, the community of this study is university students of Sulaimani should be measured , especially in terms of how people see the university; For this purpose, 10 students were recruited from Sulaimani University and American University of Sulaimani. Open-ended interviews were used to collect data from the sample.
