Abstract

Flooding is one of the most common geomorphic hazards in wet and rainy areas, areas where the slope has increased. The study area is known for its cold and rainy winters, and yet it has many terrains, especially from the south and the southwest. To evaluate the hydrological ponds, the soil hydrograph curve of flooding in the studied area. The research depends on the hydrological model (HEC-1) from the (WMS) program, with the model dependent on a set of criteria such as slope degree, vegetation, land use, soil type, and the highest amount of precipitation within (24 hours), and the shape and area of the drainage basins, by means of a set of mathematical equations (Table 2). In conclusion of this study, the total volume of torrents from the studied basins appears to be (10990267.2 m3). (Khra Khazina) basin has the highest annual discharge which is (2900403.45 m3). Furthermore, according to the concentration time equation, the (Tawanawal) basin has the least concentration period by (1.27) hours and becomes the most dangerous drainage basin for floods.
