Use of The Internet and Its Benefits in Teaching and Scientific Research Process by Teachers in Educational Colleges in Sulaimani University

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the use of the Internet and its benefits in teaching and scientific research process by teachers in educational colleges in Sulaimani University. The study's sample size was 60 teachers (30 male and 30 female), who were intentionally chosen from education colleges (college of basic education, college of education and college of education in Saed sadq) at University of Sulaimani. The researchers utilized a descriptive survey method, which is appropriate for this research. Researchers prepared a scale which consist of two themes were teaching and scientific research, each theme included 34 items, for confirm the accuracy of the tool. the researchers demonstrated it to a group of experts of teaching methods and psychology, who approved the measures after some remarks (82%) on the tool. To ensure the tool's stability, the researchers employed the repeated test method, and according to the correlation equation (Pearson), the tool's stability value was 0.81, then applied the tool to the original samples. After applying the tool to the original samples and assessing the instructors' responses using the proper central statistical equation (T-test). They provided the research findings with various conclusions, recommendations, and suggestions.
