This study is an attempt to high the influence of shown violence in ISIS mass media posts on people and armies. The paper tries to shed light on the impacts of threats on the mentality of civilians and armed troops in ISIS conflicts in Iraq, Syria, and the whole globe. Over sixty articles are taken from ten issues of both Dabiq and Rumiyah magazines. The study is qualitative descriptive depending on Multimodal Critical Discourse Analysis Theory developed by O'Halloran (2011) through emerging Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis (1989) with Multimodality based on Gunther Kress and Van Leeuwin Social Semiotic theory (2001). The findings indicate the huge role of ISIS media on people and armies' mentality that causes threats impacting the fast confrontation of ISIS armies in the area. Besides, the non-verbal modes such as images and views double the impact through the massive influence of visual modes along with the scripts.
