Geographical assessment of tourism activities in Choman district using SWOT analysis

Abstract

This study aims in investigating the natural and artificial principles and abilities of Choman touristic areas. The paper hypothesizes that the touristic features in the area are the main points for progress. The study uses qualitative method through using (SWOT) analysis depending on a random survey and interview with experts in the field. The SWOT analysis shows the numeral measurements to identify the strong and weak points; besides, it elaborates on the opportunities and the risks on the touristic places in the area. The paper concludes that Choman city has many touristic areas that leads to many opportunities to develop Choman tourism in the future.
