Social representations of body image --- A qualitative study in Erbil city

This study consists of describing and analyzing several aspects related to social representations of body image in Erbil through responses on the research criteria prepared to achieve the objectives of the study, which are the importance of body image and know the motives associated with body satisfaction Interviews. A purposive sample of 20 units divided into academics, plastic surgeons, cosmetic center employees and retirees were used in-depth interviews to gather information that supports the study.
The most important findings of the study were that despite the general changes in Kurdish society, but so far the social attitudes and representations of body image associated with men and girls have changed relatively.
