Abstract

Semiology has many connections to the human
beings’ life such as: philosophy, logic, anthropology
phenomenology, medicine, language, literature ...etc.
Semiology is an important method that is estimated in the
new literary criticism. Semiology deals with both levels,
surface and intended, of context in the frame of narration
and discourse. The 1960s move of semiology in France
had a great impact on the context dimensions and
interpretations. This paper is entitled (Semiological
Narration in Bakhtyar Ali’s Novel 'The Mansion of Blue
Birds'), the method of the research depends on the
semiological classification of Grimes for the surface level
of the context (Discourse and Narration principles).
