Abstract

 Khankah is considered one of the first unique buildings after the mosque, which appeared in the Islamic cities. It first occupied a residential role and was specialized in buildings constructed specifically for it, such as the existence of classrooms, dormitory and other purposes.

He dedicated the creation of the Khanka to provide the right atmosphere for worship, closeness to God and the pursuit of knowledge, wisdom and wisdom, far from the preoccupations of life.

The gouges played an important role in the development of the Islamic society in the Levant through the development of the intellectual and scientific movement through its contribution to the establishment of schools, attracting hundreds of scholars from all over the Islamic world, encouraging science students to lead them, Jurisprudence and arithmetic as well as science, religion, and philosophy.

Especially in the two covenants Zanki and Ayyubid, the Khankawat spread after the Sultans and princes contributed to the building and stood up to the public to learn from the various legal sciences.
