Abstract

This historical research is entitled “The participation of kurds in the Scientific Life of Aleppo During the Mamlukes Era Between 658-922 AH /1260-1560 AD”. The kurds are considered as one of the Muslim peoples outside their ancestors habitation who played an influential role in the North of the Levent in general and in Aleppo city particular. Aleppo city was the concentration habitat of a fair proportion of original kurdsh families who had a prominent position during those times. During the Mamlukes era, kurds played a critical role in the scientific and intellectual development of the city along with serving the community life of the city. Aleppo was the crossing bridge for the kurds towards other region of the levent and even to Egypt, as well.
