This research studies political will and how it links to the process of fighting corruption focusing on the case of Kurdistan region of Iraq after 2014. It argues that political will is a collective responsibility that formal, political and civil institutions have to shoulder, and it should be reflected in their programs and their actions. Although several significant steps have been taken in Kurdistan after 2011 to fight corruption such as issuing new laws and regulations, and establishing new institutions, i.e. the Integrity Commission, tangible actions still need to be seen. This research utilises analytical approach to understand and deal with corruption and the qualitative data is collected and used to support its arguments.
