Abstract

This research discusses the geographical distribution of the border gates in Sulaimani Governorate, and their impact on revenue generation. The border gates are considered the most important points or border gates between two countries or two states and regions. Due to the influence of geographical principles and geopolitical changes. It has become a link between the economic, trade and tourism relations between the two sides of the common border. These crossings have a political and economic impact and support the national income. The aim of the research is to determine the importance of border crossings in terms of economic activities and revenue generation for Sulaimani province and the Kurdistan Region, based on methods (analysis, description and comparison).
