Gender and speech Interruption in “ Girewy Bexty Helale”

چکیده

This research is entitled (“Gender and speech Interruption in “ Girewy Bexty Helale”),One of the most recent subjects in sociolinguistics and studies in novels is the relationship between language and Gender. In this study we shade a light on speech interruption among the characters of Ata Nihayee’s “Girewy Bexty Helale” by conducting Robin Lakoff’s Dominance Theory. In which the relation between gender and speech interruption in a conversation between two characters are presented.

The aim of this study is to clarify that to what extent was the writer successful in using an appropriate language which suits the characters of the novel, and to show whether the use of speech interruption in this novel equals to the text or not.
