History of the Kurdish people's liberation movement in the Birayati magazine 1970-1971

Biryati was the Kurdistan Democratic Party's (KDP) second open political magazine, publishing 14 issues between 1970 and 1971. The articles published in the magazine's two issues, especially those related to the Kurdish liberation movement, deserve to be presented within the framework of a scientific research. The magazine was released nine years after the ups and downs of the Kurdish revolution and the subsequent agreement between the leadership of the September Revolution and the Iraqi government, which was reflected in the March 11, 1970 declaration. This agreement provided a favorable opportunity for writers and researchers in the historical field to write freely in this magazine.When looking at the magazine's pages, we notice a number of subjects that have been dealing with the history of the Kurdish liberation movement during the 18^th and 19^th centuries. Given the importance and value of these historical texts, it is regraded necessary to address them within the framework of a scientific research to highlight that important stage. This study consists of two chapters and the portal, the portal focuses on the situation in “southern Kurdistan and the publication of the magazine Biryati 1961-1970” the first topic of the study is entitled “Reflections on the history of the Kurdish political and armed struggle in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries”, in addition to the second chapter “Reflections on the Kurdish intellectual and organizational struggle in the magazine Biryati” the researcher finally reached the research conclusions.
