Career future anxiety and its relationship to the level of academic aspiration among university students

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to know the level of career future anxiety, to know the level of academic aspiration and to find the relationship between career future anxiety and the level of academic aspiration of the study sample. The population of this study is university students and the sample consists of (500) students of Soran University. In this study, the researcher relied on quantitative descriptive method and obtained the data through survey form. Regarding the variable of career future anxiety, the researcher prepared a scale for this purpose, regarding the variable of academic aspiration level, the researcher relied on the scale (Al-Jubouri, 2002). The results of that study show that career future anxiety levels are displayed at medium levels and academic aspiration levels are also at high levels. Moreover, the results of that study also show that a negative relationship is shown between career future anxiety and level of academic aspiration. Finally, the researcher makes some recommendations based on the results of this study.
