Criminal protection of forests in the legislation of the Kurdistan Region - Iraq (Analytical study) This study dealt with the criminal protection of forests in the legislation of the Kurdistan Region by stating and presenting the crimes contained in the Kurdistan Region Forest Law No. 10 of 2012, and also focusing on clarifying the criminal protection of trees, trees, plants, animals and all elements. Forestry in other laws, such as the Kurdistan Environmental Protection and Improvement Law No. 8 of 2008 and the Iraqi Penal Code No. 111 of 1969. Through this study, it was found that the penal protection of forests in the legislation of the Kurdistan Region - Iraq came in a group of different crimes among a large number of legislation and not in the forest law alone, so the subject of its study is not an easy issue, as it became clear through this study that there is a case of duplication in the criminalization texts. Among several pieces of legislation, on the other hand, the Kurdish and Iraqi legislators have neglected to provide penal protection for soil and animals as an important element of forests, and we have proposed solutions regarding these problems.
