This research, which is titled “Asymmetric prosody in one of Melay Ciziri’s book editions at the level of word, phrase, poetic hemistich and stanza”, studies and identifies the errors and asymmetric rhythmic prosody in one of Melay Ciziri’s book edition and compare them with other editions. The research explores the solutions according to the prosody criteria.
The research consists of two parts. In the first part, asymmetric prosodies are identified at the level of word and phrase, and this part is divided to three sections. Section one includes the identification of asymmetric prosodies resulted due to a word or a phrase used instead of another word or phrase. Section two is the asymmetric prosodies formed as a result of missing a word or a phrase. The third section covers asymmetric prosodies formed as a result of using extra word.
The second part of this research focuses on asymmetric prosodies at the level of hemistich and stanza. All the cases are investigated and compared with other editions of Ciziri’s poem and the solutions are presented according to prosody’s criteria.
