The Analysis of the Novel Tavge According to Lucien Goldmann’s Theory of Genetic Structuralism Through the Lense of the Two Concepts of Semantic Structure and World Vision

Abstract

This study, entitled The Analysis of the Novel Tavge According to Lucien Goldmann’s Theory of Genetic Structuralism Through the Lense of the Two Concepts of Semantic Structure and World Vision, attempts to apply Lucien Goldmann’s theory of Genetic Structuralism on the aforementioned novel and focuses on interpreting the content of the novel based on the two foundational concepts that the theory employs as its primary framework for literary textual analysis.

This study aims to analyze the novel Tavge based on applying the two identified concepts.

A descriptive analytical method is employed for the current study. The data and information are gathered from library sources and the analysis is conducted grounding in insights from scholarly books and texts. The most significant conclusions reached in this study indicate that the Kurdish novel is not devoid of the characteristics of this theory (Genetic Structuralism) and possesses distinctive features when examined as a genre reflecting societal conflicts, problems, and conditions. At the end, the key conclusions of this study are summarized as follows: the novel genre is the product of a social class’s worldview, and through a meticulous analysis of Tavge’s thematic content, it becomes evident that Tavge itself is the product of the worldview of the social class to which the author belongs.
