Abstract

Comparative literature is a method of literary research, and the Slavic School is one of the branches of comparative literature which enables us to compare two independent literary texts by investigating their literary backgrounds according to various circumstances which created similarities between them.

Mirnama and Samarqand are two famous novels that deal with the life stages of Khayyam Nishapuri and Ahmad Khani, who are two similar characters, in one way or another they are from the same century, thus they belong to two different nations. The historical, cultural, and political conditions have formed a kind of similarity between these two texts in terms of several circumstances and the nature of characters, which are going to be the issues of focus and discussion in our study.
