Abstract

Craft (skillfulness) was a valuable part of Ottoman economic field and it was a main factor of its industry, through this art or industry, many of the population earn and provide their daily requirements, also craft played a great role in developing exchanging (trade) activities. At the same time, there was a league which its main purpose was to organize the craftsman.

With the widens of Ottoman state different cultures from different nations met, so the craft field witnessed a great progress as a product and art and different parts of the state had role. However later on, in the middle of the 19th century, because of some reasons, the filed went through its difficult time and extinct.
