This study examines the impact of language policy on political and constitutional stability in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, focusing on the role of national identity and the recognition of local languages in promoting social harmony and political cohesion. The study adopts a descriptive and analytical approach, drawing on constitutional sources, academic studies, and field reports. The results show that the region's language policy has succeeded in strengthening Kurdish identity and Kurdish political participation, but it has not fully integrated minority languages, posing challenges to linguistic justice and social cohesion. The study emphasizes that adopting a comprehensive language policy, supported by clear laws, institutional mechanisms, and adequate funding, is a prerequisite for enhancing political and constitutional stability in the region.
