Kurdish Keyboard Design according to Kurdish Language Graphemes

Abstract

Having a Kurdish keyboard is an important step towards independence and it is regarded as an infrastructure of any country. The primary steps have been done in this field and the Unicode key board is made by IT centre in KRG, and it has been generalized by the Kurdistan Government for all formal places and departments in order to work with it.

The research question is whether the way of dividing Kurdish graphims snits with the frequency of graphims or not?

This research is an attempt to design the Unicode keyboard, in order to be suitable with the frequency of Kurdish graphims. To achieve this goal, we did a statistical research in a big corpus.
