This research, which is intitled Untranslatability in the Kurdish Language, is an attempt to realize the case of untranslatability with its types and reasons. The researchers shad light on untranslatability or some kinds of obstacles in translation from Kurdish language to other languages and vice versa.  Untranslatability is a Linguistic phenomenon. It appears when the translation process is stopped. The translators face three kinds of untranslatability; Linguistic untranslatability, cultural untranslatability and both of them together. Linguistic untranslatability occurs when there is no equivalent language unit in the target language for a language unit in a source language. When the culture of target language is lacking a relevant situational feature of the source language, the cultural untranslatability is occurred. Sometimes both of the two types of untranslatability are occurred at the same time, and it is the third kind of untranslatability, which isn’t been focused by the predecessor researchers.
