The Degree of Student's Involvement in the Social Studies Textbook for 8th Basic Schools Students in Kurdistan Region-Iraq

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the extend of students' involvement in the social studies textbook for the 8^th grade at basic schools in Kurdistan region- Iraq in terms of the presentation of the content, figures and diagram, and educational activities contained in the textbook,  by it is three units: Geography, History, Citizenship for academic year(2017-2018). To achieve this aim the researcher utilized Romey's method to calculate the variables of students' involvement coefficients, and Chi-square test to investigate the differences in involvement degree of the textbook according to educational units.
